L'ATELIER BOUTIQUE
In December 2022, bolstered by the popularity of her artistic project, La Paimpolette launched her workshop-boutique in the heart of Paimpol’s historic center. It offers original drawings, reproductions, books self-published (see « La Paimpolette vs Le Krakorn » & « La Paimpolette Voyage ») postcards, and merchandise (t-shirts, Breton biscuit tins, etc.) featuring the La Femme Capitaine character.
Souen uses this space to engage with the public about her work and create new pieces, while also promoting her feminist values. She invites other female artists to showcase their work, such as paper artist Anais Herd-Smith and illustrator Justine Gallard.
New collections are launched annually for Christmas period.
Everything is regionally produced in Brittany (books, prints, local products) or in France (porcelain), in small limited series.
Souen illustrated and created of all products and packaging.
She designed the boutique’s ambiance and product displays in the shop windows.
Souen was in charge of the sourcing of collaborators for Breton products (madeleines, galettes, salted butter caramels, cider…); textiles and screen-printing on textiles and porcelain.
She managed the boutique (cash register, accounting, profitability analysis, financial forecasting…).
She collaborated with suppliers and managing staff.
She created contents and updates on the Instagram account @lapaimpolette and in national and regional media. Finally, she creating an e-commerce website: www.lapaimpolette.com.
